When Daniel Negreanu quit high school to play poker he was better than his friends and regularly smoked them in poker games. Knowing that he was good and believing that he could make a good living at poker he went to Las Vegas. While in Vegas he found out that it wasn’t as easy as it seemed and this wasn't the lesser skilled home crowd that he was up against. The middle games on the strip ate him alive and soon he would be forced to return home.
Losing in Vegas only made Daniel more determined to succeed and he then began to study all aspects of the game and was seen watching several final tables so he could learn how to play short handed as well as heads up. He then when one step further and took the time to find out about what he knew one day would be his opponents at final tables.
With 3 World Series of Poker Bracelets and more first place wins than any other player since in the short span from 1997 to current, Daniel Negreanu has become a force to be reckoned with.
